Peregrino Physician Coaching is a professional life coach program developed by Dr. Sayers after years of working with physicians struggling to find fulfillment in their work. We emphasize the importance recognizing the dual importance of professional and spiritual growth and fulfillment in our complex and winding pilgrimage to wholeness.

- 30+ years in a variety of clinical practice settings.
- Founder and Director of the Travis County Medical Society Physician Wellness Program and its Safe Harbor Counseling Program. This program has provided over 2000 free, anonymous counseling visits for over 450 our our colleagues and their spouses since 2017.
- Professional Coaching certification from two different life coach training programs- the Physician Coaching Institute and the Life Coach Training Institute.
- Mid career study to achieve a Master of Arts Pastoral Ministry with emphasis on spiritual director training from The Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest.

Coaching
- We start with a free half hour get-acquainted session to see if we are a good fit for your coaching goals. After this session, we will design a program or session specifically designed for your individual needs.
- Our basic philosophy and approach starts with a recognition that the best results from coaching comes from a holistic recognition that professional and spiritual development go hand in hand.
- We offer a custom designed longitudinal program set to address more complex, evolving professional or spiritual issues that need to be explored over time.
- Flexible visit formats- in-person at our offices, virtual, "walkabouts," meet at a park or other outdoor space.

Basic Structure of a Peregrino Coaching Pathway
- We start with a 30 minute get-acquainted/discovery call to introduce you to the coaching process and to get a feel for your individual needs. This session is free of charge and helps us both decide if coaching is right for you and if we are a good coaching match.
- If we move forward together from there, I will gather some additional information from you with some targeted forms you will submit, then I go to work designing a program for your specific goal.
- A basic package consists of the initial 30 minute session, the four remote or in-person 50 minute meetings over an 8 week period. This is typically limited to a focused issue/domain. An extended package is more appropriate for a more detailed exploration of life transitions, loss of meaning or spiritual exploration and involves 8 in-person or remote sessions roughly every other week for 16 weeks with every other week brief phone or email check-ins.
- Our sessions often start with discernment about your calling, your original calling to medicine, and how you see your current calling both for work and life in general. We will also have an early discussion about your core values. A clear understanding of your calling and values forms a critical foundation for a creative exploration of current issues, dilemmas or transitions that bring you to coaching.
- In between sessions, we will have several quick email or phone check in sessions and some reading materials selected for you.
- The cost of each package varies depending on the individual program designed for you, the time we agree to spend together, and whether we meet in person or remotely. Pricing is available for basic or extended packages. We also offer pricing for individual sessions.
- We will decide together which package best fits your needs after the get-acquainted session, or if a series of sessions with a different format or length is needed.
